For Ross Curnow, 2005 is an eventful year, as he has been presented with his Award for the 2004 Formula BMW UK Rookie Championship and has also been selected by the British Racing Drivers Club as one of its 'Rising Stars'.
Ross is passionate about green electric racing karts and is the Patron of Green Motorsport's planned
series of races powered by clean, renewable
energies. During scheduled tests at Silverstone on the 22 - 23rd March
2005, Ross's BMW team will be shown how renewables and fuel cells powered from hydrogen can assist with reducing emissions. This comes at a crucial time as the world adopts the Kyoto Protocol and steps into a greener future.
During the test at Silverstone Green Motorsport will trial a fuel cell system in the pits, and provide uninterrupted clean power to several critical systems that Ross relies on whilst testing.
The aim of the exercise is to fast track the development of new technologies and showcase Ross and his team as champions that have vision and understanding of the future of motor sport.
