The controllers incorporate the very latest in pressure contact technology for compact design, improved thermal performance and high reliability. Integrating the DC-link capacitors in the design reduces internal inductance and allows higher bus voltages to be used. The cover and connectors on all controllers are splash water tight, protecting the interior components from external contamination. This compact construction technique is extremely rugged making it ideal for vehicular applications. Water cooling offers the highest current rating of any heatsink solution. While the most common fluid used is a 50% ethylene glycol water solution, DI water or other fluids may also be used. The module also has integrated current sensors. The current sensors provide phase current magnitude and polarity for either the driver or controller boards and over current indication for module protection.
Products are available in air cooled or liquid cooled options.
The power electronics modules are available in IGBT or MOSFET versions.
The IGBT modules are available with IGBTs rated at 600V or 1200V with output currents of 500 A and 400A respectively. The IGBT modules can deliver between 50 and 200 kW of motor power.
The MOSFET modules are available with MOSFETs rated at 75V, 100V, or 150V with output currents of 700A, 600A, and 500A respectively. The MOSFET modules can deliver between 3 and 20 kW of motor power.
Connections
The 5 power connections are M8 x 13mm inserts. Rated Torque 9 Nm (80lb-in)
The unit is designed so that when incorporated in a properly designed system the system will be capable of meeting agency standards UL 840 and EN50178.

The liquid-cooled IGBT module with DSP controller will provide 400A rms continuous (500A rms peak for <20 seconds) fine for 300+ volts D.C. input applications.
