There are many companies in the world offering lithium cells today but there are also many people who have spent thousands on batteries and have had depressing results!

Green MotorSport started researching lithium ion cells several years ago and produced the world’s first lithium ion 12V monoblock long before anyone else had a commercial and reliable product.  Over the last 5 years we have been looking very closely at the battery industry, seeking the best solution and we can now say that we have found it.  Green MotorSport has mainly concentrated on drive train production and electric motor fabrication with the objective of becoming cost efficient. Alongside this development we have evaluated different types of batteries, because in order to catalyze the uptake of electric cars one needs a reliable battery solution.

Green MotorSport can now offer the very highest quality lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, suitable for high current and high and low voltage automotive applications. We have chosen our cells on the basis of manufacturing quality and reliability in all weather conditions and because we have all our cells tested at our Swiss Laboratory before we ship them, you know you will get a super quality product.

Green MotorSport Limited can now offer direct from our lithium facilities in Switzerland a range of high quality tested and approved cells and make fully functional battery packs with onboard battery monitoring and control systems that feature efficient and lightweight switch mode technologies. We also supply the battery terminal bus bars and connection packs.

Applications

Transport equipment from electric scooters to heavy duty trucks, electric boats to large industrial applications, and GMS drive trains. For telecom, UPS, solar energy storage and load balancing.

These are probably the best cells currently on the market, taking into account energy density, price and quality.

CHARGE

Max recommended charge current is .3C giving over 2000 cycles. 3C charge is possible but will reduce cycle life.

DISCHARGE

Max discharge rating is impressive, 3C continuous up to 12CA for 5 ms, with impressive continuous ratings with cooling without massive reductions in cycle life. Please Note: Green MotorSport will not offer any cell guarantees where recommended C rates for charge or discharge are not followed as stated on each cells specification data sheet.

Ranging from 96 Wh/K to 116 Wh/Kg @ 0.1 C depending on the cell capacity.

Mounting the cells

These cells can be mounted in any direction except upside down.

BMS systems

We currently offer two different BMS systems for low and high voltage systems, suitable for a prototype projects to commercial systems. BMS prices start for a 48V lithium battery box of 16 cells from £250-£1000 depending on the cell information required by the customer.

From 1500-8000 Watts chargers to Multi bank 3 phase units.

Please note all GMS power trains are rated between 48V and 96V max for safety reasons but we will supply as many cells as you require.

Shipping times are normally between 4 and 10 weeks, but we may have what you want already in stock.
